China, here we come!

Well our tickets to Hong Kong and back are booked! We leave Hartford at 12:26PM on August 29th and arrive in Hong Kong at 10:00PM on the 30th. We will travel to Nanning on the 31st and meet Addison on September 1st-Labor Day! The following weekend, we will fly to Guangzhou to finalize everything. We have our appointment at the U.S. Consulate on September 9th and then we are free to leave as early as the evening of the 10th. We will probably travel back to Hong Kong that evening and then we will spend all day on the 11th touring there. We may take the kids to Hong Kong Disney, but we really want to go to Victoria Peak. We fly home Friday morning at 8:20AM. After a couple of stops along the way, we will arrive back in Hartford at 5:10 PM on Friday September 12th. Whew! Now we have to plan our in-country travel and make hotel reservations. Hopefully that will all be done early this coming week.
We took the kids to the Post Office this morning and took care of their passport applications. The man who took care of it told us that we probably didn't need to expedite them because they are being processed really quickly right now. Bill and I looked at each other and said "I think we'll expedite them anyway.!" It was worth the extra money for the peace of mind! With any luck, we'll get them back at lightning speed and they can be on their way to Texas for their visas even sooner. I'll keep you posted!
